South facing vineyard at 450 metres. Sandy loam and volcanic soil mix, with marl veins.
Following a cold and harsh winter, the delayed growthh of the vines was mitigated by a mild and wet spring. The summer was hot and dry, without reaching extremes, and large temperature swings between day and night in the late summer gave the grapes great acidity and polyphenols. Harvest was in early October.

6 months in french barriques followed by 4 years in large Slavonian oak barrels
